The Called Collection: Author Terms

By purchasing The Called Collection, you agree to the following terms with Clara Rose & Company / RoseDale Publishing ("we," "us").

1. What's Included

Your purchase includes private coaching to develop your chapter, developmental editing, publication of your chapter in one volume of The Called Collection under the RoseDale Publishing imprint, a launch kit (caption and email copy plus pull-quote graphics), a guest appearance on Clara Rose's podcast, a listing in our author directory, and alumni perks for future projects.

2. Your Chapter

  • Your chapter will be 1,500–3,000 words and must be your own original work.
  • Your chapter should fit the theme of your volume and our values as a faith-driven publisher.
  • Your chapter may not contain content that is defamatory, violates anyone's privacy, or infringes on anyone else's rights. If you write about real people, you're responsible for having their permission or changing identifying details.
  • We have final editorial say on edits, formatting, chapter order, the book's title, and its cover. We'll always work with you to keep your voice and message intact.

3. Rights and Ownership

  • You keep the copyright to your chapter.
  • You grant RoseDale Publishing a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and promote your chapter as part of The Called Collection in all formats, worldwide, for as long as the book is in print.
  • You may reuse your chapter content in blog posts, social media, and your own marketing. You may republish your full chapter elsewhere starting 90 days after the book launches, with credit to The Called Collection.
  • RoseDale Publishing owns the anthology as a whole, including its cover, design, and title.

4. Royalties and Author Copies

  • The Called Collection is designed to share your message and connect you with readers, not as a royalty-earning project. Authors do not receive royalties from book sales.
  • You'll receive 3 complimentary copies. You may purchase additional copies at author pricing.

5. Timeline and Deadlines

  • Each volume takes about 4–6 months from first coaching session to launch. Your volume's exact dates will be shared at your first coaching session.
  • If you miss a chapter deadline, we'll work with you on a short extension where possible. If your chapter can't be completed in time, you may move to the next volume once at no additional cost. If it isn't completed by the next volume's deadline, your spot is forfeited without a refund.
  • Launch dates may shift because of production or printing delays. We'll keep you informed.

6. Payment

  • The investment is $1,997 paid in full or 4 monthly payments of $597.
  • Payment plans must be completed before your volume goes to print. If a payment plan isn't current by the print deadline, your chapter will be held for a future volume until your balance is paid.

7. Refunds

You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as your first coaching session hasn't taken place. After your first coaching session, purchases are non-refundable, because coaching time and your spot in the volume have been reserved for you.

8. Launch Participation

Every author is asked to share the book with their audience during launch week using the launch kit. This helps every author in the collection reach more readers.

9. Podcast and Directory

Your podcast episode will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. By participating, you agree that we may share your episode, name, photo, bio, and chapter excerpts to promote you and the book.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
